The Story

One Saturday in 2002, Louise sent Alistair out to look after the children and perhaps enjoy a coffee, giving her a moment of peace and quiet. He returned with a surprise: he had purchased a farmyard in Ditchling, East Sussex, complete with planning permission for several houses. After Louise’s initial shock wore off, Hastingford Developments Ltd was born.

Drawing on their previous personal and professional experience, they already had an advantage. Years of working on period renovations had taught them both the challenges and rewards of creating distinctive, character-filled spaces — and they were eager to help others experience the same sense of satisfaction.
